LANSING, Mich. (WLNS) — The Delta Township Board of Trustees unanimously accepted a brand new millage proposal for the November basic election—one township officers say would permit soon-to-expire working agreements with CATA and EATRAN to proceed.
The agreements cowl CATA’s Spec-Tran ADA service for senior residents and folks with disabilities, the Route 3 extension to the Market, the Grand Ledge and Charlotte Connectors, and the CATA Rydz service, and are set to run out later this yr, in line with the township.
The township says these companies are at the moment funded by state and native grants. Nonetheless, the township board is proposing a millage of 0.75 mills, which they are saying will generate an estimated $1.35 million per yr, to fund the continuation of the township’s agreements with CATA and EATRAN.
