Detectives have recovered 4 diamond earrings from a suspected thief two weeks after he swallowed the jewelry price almost £600,000 throughout his arrest, US police have mentioned.

The person, who was detained in Florida, had instructed workers at a Tiffany & Co retailer he was interested by shopping for earrings and a diamond ring on behalf of an Orlando Magic basketball participant in February.

He was escorted to a VIP room the place he may view the jewelry however a short while later, he jumped out of his chair, grabbed the jewelry and compelled his approach out the door, Orlando Police Division mentioned.

Officers obtained the licence plate of the suspect’s automobile via purchasing centre safety footage and tracked the automobile.

He was pulled over for driving with out tail lamps in Washington County, virtually 340 miles away, a police report mentioned.
