JACKSON, Mich. (WLNS) — Jackson’s Doll N’ Burgers restaurant, situated close to downtown, closed its doorways Friday in preparation to open a brand new location this fall.
Since opening on the top of the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020, the restaurant says it takes delight in serving locally-sourced meals and distinctive customer support.

“We have our regular customers, we know them by their name. They know us by our name,” stated retailer supervisor Taylor Miller. “They pretty much opened as a response to help give some of their employees at other locations that were shutting down during COVID because of the bans and everything, a job. And so then they’ve kept it open after that and they have two locations so far.”
Now, 5 years later, the chain is relocating to a brand new deal with in Blackman Township, situated at 1200 W Parnell Rd.

“We have a lot of people from the northwest community that are excited to come see us. So, we’re really excited to also try to reach out to those businesses and work with them,” Miller stated.
Miller has been the shop supervisor since 2022. She factors to the continuing Cooper St. building, which is repairing connecting roads between E Washignton Ave and S Elme Ave as a key motive for an absence of in-store site visitors and buyer interst.

“That construction definitely did hinder us a little bit. It was harder for people to come find us and a lot of people don’t even know we’re here,” Miller stated.
Miller says the transfer will even permit Doll N’ Burgers to have extra of a presence within the Jackson group.

“Moving to an area with a little bit more of a community and a lot more population and getting to serve new customers that we haven’t got to serve before because it’s on the complete opposite side of town now,” Miller stated. “We’re hoping to open by like mid-September, late September.”
