LANSING, Mich. (WLNS) — The Michigan Freeway of Security Planning (OHSP) is implementing its ‘Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over” marketing campaign for the vacation season.
OHSP reviews practically 41% of fatalities on Michigan roadways concerned alcohol and/ or medicine in 2023. From 2019 to 2023, 30 folks have been killed in motorcar visitors crashes in Michigan through the vacation interval.
OSHP additionally reported that 13 of the 30 folks killed have been in crashes concerned in alcohol or drug impairment.

The “Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over” marketing campaign will final three weeks, beginning on Dec. 11 till Jan. 1, 2025.
“The aim of the enforcement campaign is to drastically reduce deaths and serious injuries caused by impaired driving,” Bower mentioned. “We want all Michiganders to have a great time over the holidays, but to keep everyone safe, we are also urging people to be responsible, make smart choices and plan for a sober ride home.”
