LANSING, Mich. (WLNS)– A 48-year-old man from Owosso was killed after being thrown from his automobile after colliding with a semi-truck in Ingham County Thursday morning.
The crash came about on Grand River Avenue between Grammer Street and Wallace Street.

Investigators say the SUV, pushed by the 48-year-old man, was driving eastbound on Grand River Avenue when his automobile crossed over the middle lane and hit a semi-truck touring westbound.

Deputies say the 48-year-old driver of the SUV was not sporting his seatbelt and was thrown from his automobile and died on the scene. The 66-year-old semi-truck driver from Fowlerville was not injured.
Deputies say Grand River Avenue is at present shut down as crews proceed to work on the cleanup. The street is predicted to open this afternoon.
