East Lansing grad Aaliyah Nye chosen thirteenth general in WNBA Draft

East Lansing grad Aaliyah Nye chosen thirteenth general in WNBA Draft

LANSING, Mich. (WLNS) – 2020 East Lansing graduate Aaliyah Nye was chosen by the Las Vegas Aces with the No. 13 general choose within the 2025 WNBA Draft.

Nye began her school profession at Illinois, and after two seasons in Champaign, she transferred to Alabama, the place she spent the ultimate three years of her school profession.

Throughout her time with the Crimson Tide, Nye set the Alabama document for three-pointers made in a single season (109) throughout the 2024-25 season, after beforehand breaking the document in 2023-24 (108).

Nye helped East Lansing to a runner-up end as a sophomore and completed runner-up within the 2020 Michigan Miss Basketball award.
