East Lansing grad Aaliyah Nye chosen thirteenth total in WNBA Draft

LANSING, Mich. (WLNS) – 2020 East Lansing graduate Aaliyah Nye was chosen by the Las Vegas Aces with the No. 13 total choose within the 2025 WNBA Draft.

Nye began her faculty profession at Illinois, and after two seasons in Champaign, she transferred to Alabama, the place she spent the ultimate three years of her faculty profession.

Throughout her time with the Crimson Tide, Nye set the Alabama file for three-pointers made in a single season (109) through the 2024-25 season, after beforehand breaking the file in 2023-24 (108).

Nye helped East Lansing to a runner-up end as a sophomore and completed runner-up within the 2020 Michigan Miss Basketball award.
