East Lansing police to carry Residents' Police Academy

LANSING, Mich. (WLNS) — Interested by how native regulation enforcement works? The East Lansing Police Division is inviting you to use for its 10-week Residents’ Police Academy.

The academy is meant to offer residents with a working data of how the ELPD operates each inside and out of doors of the classroom—together with hands-on instruction. The course will cowl matters similar to response to resistance, patrol procedures, prison investigations, neighborhood watch, emergency administration and catastrophe preparedness, and even a K9 Unit demonstration.

The course will meet from 6 p.m. to eight p.m. each Wednesday beginning Jan. 29 and ending April 16 within the ELPD Emergency Operations Middle situated at 409 Park Lane. Class is not going to be held on March 5, with a four-hour class from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. on March 12 to compensate.
