LANSING, Mich. (WLNS) — The Ingham County Sheriff’s workplace took dozens of children on a vacation buying spree in Mason Thursday night time, at their Twenty third-annual Store With A Hero occasion.

Emergency responders, together with deputies, native law enforcement officials, and firefighters, took 85 elementary faculty college students to the Meijer in Mason, letting them get no matter they wanted for the vacations.

“This is the biggest event we’ve ever had,” stated Captain Andrew Daenzer with the Ingham County Sheriff’s Workplace. “We have about 85 kids, so it’s our biggest crowd that we’ve ever had, and that’s thanks to the community for the generous donations in and ear for making it possible.”

Store With A Hero is an annual success, and native kids have come to like it, particularly with cosplayers from the League of Enchantment, a nonprofit “beacon of joy” tagging alongside.

This 12 months’s magical guests? Just a few Disney characters.

“You know, this event, we’ve been here on the same night as this event for the last couple of years as well,” says Courtney Howard, who dressed as Anna from Frozen.
