Police are responding to an “active incident” in a rural city in Australia.
Victoria Police have confirmed that an incident is underneath manner at a property in Porepunkah, round 300km (186 miles) northeast of Melbourne.
Native media, citing unnamed sources, are reporting that two officers have been killed within the incident, which they are saying befell whereas officers tried to execute a search warrant.
Victoria Police haven’t confirmed any casualties, and say they “will provide more information when it’s operationally safe to do so”.
The Australian Broadcasting Company (ABC), quoting Ambulance Victoria, mentioned one other individual injured within the capturing incident has been taken to hospital in a secure situation.
An Ambulance Victoria spokesperson mentioned it’s “on scene” and its paramedics “have treated one person for serious lower body injuries and transported them by air ambulance in a stable condition”.
