LANSING, Mich. (WLNS) — Dozens of group members buzzed collectively on the Michigan State College Horticulture Gardens on Sunday for the twelfth annual Beepalooza, which presents an opportunity to be taught and contribute to pollinator conservation.

The occasion aimed to boost consciousness in regards to the challenges pollinators face and inspired attendees to be taught extra about their atmosphere and the position bees play in it.

“Bees are very important to humans; about one-third of the food we eat is pollinated by bees,” stated Miller.
Thomas and Susan Hamlin say they visited the occasion due to their concern for pollinators.
“We turned our backyard into a sanctuary for bees, bugs, and all sorts of things,” stated Thomas Hamlin.
“A few years back, we started to see a decline in the bees,” stated Susan Hamlin.
The Hamlin’s say they do all they’ll to guard pollinators and educate those that could be petrified of them.
“If you see a bee around a flower. Not dangerous. What you want to stay away from is the yellow jackets on your hamburger,” stated Thomas Hamlin.
