LANSING, (Mich.) WLNS — Highschool college students in Michigan are doing higher than ever in Superior Placement (AP) programs—and the rise contains numerous variety. Scores are going up—and so are the variety of college students taking the assessments.
The Michigan Division of Training (MDE) mentioned participation is up 12% within the state over the past two years and consultants say that is serving to extra youngsters than ever be higher ready for school and life past.
Over these two years, AP participation went up 28% amongst Black college students, 26% amongst Latino college students and a whopping 35% for economically deprived youth. These teams had been all traditionally underrepresented in AP programs.
