First main U.S. retrospective of Camille Pissarro in over 40 Years opens at Denver Artwork Museum

Born on the island of St. Thomas in what was then the Danish West Indies (now the U.S. Virgin Islands) to French Jewish dad and mom, Pissarro hung out in Caracas and La Guaira, Venezuela, earlier than settling in Paris in 1855.
