LANSING, Mich. (WLNS) — Alan Haller, former Vice President and Director of Intercollegiate Athletics at Michigan State College, has launched a press release following Thursday’s announcement of his departure.
“Serving as Vice President and Director of Athletics at Michigan State University has been one of the greatest honors of my life,” wrote Haller in a press release obtained by 6 Information. “For 32 years, I have been a Spartan—first as a student-athlete in track and football, then as a Police Officer, and later in various leadership roles within Spartan Athletics.”

The announcement got here down Thursday, with college president Kevin Guskiewicz saying he’ll search for a brand new athletic director who can navigate the altering panorama of collegiate athletics and advance MSU as a “chief among the many Energy 4 establishments.”
Present deputy athletic director Jennifer Smith and head coach of the lads’s basketball workforce Tom Izzo will function co-interim athletic administrators whereas the college searches for a brand new director.
In his assertion, Haller says he’s grateful for the help he is acquired from the Spartan group and he’s pleased with the work he has carried out throughout his time with the college.
