LANSING, Mich. (WLNS) — Mark Dantonio, former Michigan State soccer head coach was inducted into the Faculty Soccer Corridor of Fame.
Dantonio was honored on the Nationwide Soccer Basis’s 66th annual Awards Dinner on Tuesday on the Bellagio in Las Vegas.
“It’s a surreal moment and very humbling,” Dantonio mentioned of his induction at a media occasion hosted by the NFF in Las Vegas on Monday. “It’s what I name a program award. There are such a lot of completely different folks which are concerned on this.

For 13 seasons, Dantonio completed his profession with a file of 114-57 in East Lansing and 132-74 in 16 seasons general. Dantonio was acknowledged for his record of accomplishments:
3 Massive Ten Championships in 2010, 2013, and 2015.
Two Massive Ten Championships video games in 2013 and 2015.
Rose Bowl victory in 2014 and Cotton Bowl victory in 2015.
“I hope every one of these players that are here, and everybody that has worked with us closely, sees a little bit of their name up on that award, because I think these are program awards,” mentioned Dantonio at an occasion honoring him on Sept. 27 on the Izzo Corridor of Historical past earlier than former gamers, employees and directors.
“You don’t get there without a lot of people, and everyone has to be pulling in the right direction and doing their job and be excellent at their job. When we came here, we wanted to build a legacy, and I think that’s what we did as a program.”
