Ms Khanum stated that Khan, a former cricketer, is dealing with isolation and psychological pressure in jail following weeks during which his household stated entry had been blocked.

“He’s physically well,” stated Ms Khanum, one in all Khan’s three sisters. “But he’s kept inside all the time, and only goes out for a short while. There’s no contact with anybody.”

The assembly came about underneath strict supervision, stated Ms Khanum, although she declined to offer additional particulars.

PTI says routine jail visits have been blocked for weeks regardless of courtroom orders, fuelling rumours about his situation and attainable jail transfers.

Authorities deny any mistreatment, and say that Khan is receiving all entitlements obtainable to prisoners.

Khan served as prime minister from 2018 to 2022.

He has claimed that the costs in opposition to him are politically motivated – and aimed toward blocking his political profession.

Khan’s spouse, Bushra Bibi, is serving time in the identical jail over corruption, however they don’t seem to be allowed to see one another besides once they seem in courtroom, his supporters have stated.
