OWOSSO, Mich. (WLNS) – The forty eighth annual Curwood Competition begins this weekend in Owosso. The occasion acquired its title from the famed American writer James Oliver Curwood, who constructed a fortress within the metropolis 102 years in the past; the constructing grew to become his writing retreat within the years main as much as his demise.

The Curwood Competition’s opening ceremony begins at 6 pm on Thursday, the fifth, with a full schedule of occasions via Sunday night.
