Frank Gehry, one of many world’s most progressive architects, dies aged 96

Frank Gehry, who received international approval for designing among the world’s most imaginative buildings has died aged 96.

His triumphs included the Guggenheim Museum in Bilbao, Spain; the Walt Disney Live performance Corridor in Los Angeles and Berlin’s DZ Financial institution Constructing.

Throughout his lifetime he was awarded each main prize structure, together with the sphere’s high honour, the Pritzker Prize, for what was described as “refreshingly original and totally American” work.

Gehry died at his house in Santa Monica following a brief interval of respiratory sickness, Meaghan Lloyd, his chief of workers mentioned.
