'Full-circle second': Fmr. MSU theater scholar returns to East Lansing in 'E-book of Mormon' solid

EAST LANSING, Mich. (WLNS) — Former Michigan State College theater scholar Kevin T. Mazur is returning to his residence campus in East Lansing as a swing within the E-book of Mormon solid.

Mazur is a local of Warren and graduated with a Bachelor of Tremendous Arts in appearing from MSU in 2021. He’s now based mostly in Brooklyn, N.Y., the place he works as a theatre educator and a performer. He’s a swing within the solid of E-book of Mormon, the identical play he says received him into appearing when he noticed it in Detroit on the Fisher Theatre over a decade in the past.

“It’s been the most full-circle moment,” Mazur informed 6 Information. “Driving around campus and taking my current cast members around and saying, ‘Oh that’s the Department of Theatre building, and this is where I did my math class!’ … It’s been so fun to revisit my favorite places again.”

Mazur stated he is discovering pleasure in being a swing for the solid, the place he’s protecting seven roles.

“Every day is a new learning curve,” he stated.

Rising senior appearing scholar Nicole Jenosky talked about the way it’s nice to listen to success tales like Mazur’s as a result of he shared the identical stage as them.

“A lot of us are currently in the Summer Circle shows at MSU,” Jenosky stated. “Hearing that he did those same shows a few years ago is really special and inspiring.”

The Summer time Circle theater program at Michigan State runs from June 5-22 and options three productions this season. E-book of Mormon will play at Wharton Heart this weekend from June 19-22.
