Every evening, the protesters have been dispersed by a violent combination of tear gasoline, water cannon, and rubber bullets.

Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze has repeatedly praised the police for his or her response, however others have raised the alarm.

Lasha Uchava, a health care provider on the Nationwide Institute for Endocrinology, says the water cannon has been blended with pepper spray. Having seen its impact on demonstrators, he fears it might show deadly.
