Georgia: Crackdown begins on anti-government protesters

Georgia’s prime minister had vowed to punish these collaborating within the anti-government protests which have engulfed the capital Tbilisi. On Wednesday, it appears, the crackdown started.

Every evening, the protesters have been dispersed by a violent combination of tear gasoline, water cannon, and rubber bullets.

Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze has repeatedly praised the police for his or her response, however others have raised the alarm.
