LANSING, Mich. (WLNS)– The school board has chosen its next Superintendent for Waverly Community Schools for the upcoming school year.

Glenn Mitcham currently serves as deputy superintendent for East Lansing Public Schools.

Waverly Community Schools said on social media, “Mitcham’s approachability, sincerity, experience working in highly successful districts, and planned strategic focus on the district’s mission to meet the needs of students, became the deciding factor for many Board members.”

The school board says the interview process started with 30 candidates and found Mitcham to be the best fit for Waverly.
