LANSING, Mich. (WLNS) — After defeating Holt 13-9, Grand Ledge lacrosse gained its fourth-straight Division One regional title.
Grand Ledge head coach Michael Transeth, credit his senior class who helped this system win its first regional title three years in the past, and says these leaders have propelled this system to new heights.
“It’s just amazing to see them grow up and accomplish everything they have,” stated Transeth. “It’s been so awesome. They’ve left a legacy that will be etched in stone and they set a standard here that we’re going to have to live up to every year from now on.”
A type of seniors is attacker Tieson Cooper who’s happy with how far his staff has come this season, however understands the Comets nonetheless have extra they want to obtain.
“When you talk about the three “C’s”, we want to win our conference, our region (championship) and we want a state championship,” defined Cooper. “It’s just great to see the first two come together like that. Four in a row is incredible, as you couldn’t ask for anything more but we’re still going. We’re competing for that third “C”.
Grand Ledge will face Hartland on Friday, Might thirtieth at 5:00p.m. at Parker Center College.
