Greater than 150 referees in Turkey are beneath investigation for allegedly betting on video games, the Turkish Soccer Federation stated.
The probe comes after 371 of 571 lively referees have been discovered to have at the very least one account with a betting firm, in response to federation president Ibrahim Haciosmanoglu.
He added that 152 referees with accounts allegedly positioned bets on soccer, together with seven top-level officers and 15 top-level assistants.

‘Turkish soccer wants to alter’
Mr Haciosmanoglu, who stated the findings cowl a five-year interval, added: “We all know Turkish soccer wants a change.
“Our duty is to elevate Turkish football to its rightful place and to purge it of all its filth.”
He added: “As a federation, we began by cleansing up our personal yard.
“Among those found to have betting accounts were seven top-level referees, 15 top-level assistants, 36 classified referees, and 94 classified assistants.”
He confirmed that the circumstances could be handled instantly.
