MasterChef presenter Gregg Wallace has apologised for his response to claims he made sexual feedback in the direction of employees and movie star company on a spread of programmes over 17 years.
On the weekend, the BBC presenter issued a defiant response to mounting allegations towards him, dismissing his accusers as “middle-class women of a certain age” in a sequence of movies posted on Instagram.
Posting in a video on his Instagram story this afternoon, he stated: “I want to apologise for any offence that I caused with my post yesterday and any upset I may have caused to a lot of people.
“I wasn’t in a very good head area after I posted it I have been underneath an enormous quantity of stress loads of emotion I felt very alone, underneath siege yesterday after I posted it.”
“It is apparent to me I must take a while out now whereas this investigation is underneath approach. I hope you perceive and I do hope you settle for this apology.”
