Group donates 2,000 kilos of meals for Holt pantry

LANSING, Mich. (WLNS) — Holt Public Faculties introduced neighborhood members donated practically 2,000 kilos of non-perishable meals to the Holt Group Meals Financial institution.

In line with Holt Public Faculties, the varsity district has a historical past of gathering donations from college students, lecturers, and workers members for his or her vacation meals donation program.

“It’s wonderful to see our entire learning community rally around a cause that is so important to many in our area,” mentioned Dr. David Hornak, Holt Public Faculties superintendent in a information launch.

“The food bank relies on monetary donations, food contributions and the volunteer support of local businesses, service organizations, individuals and grants. Because of those factors, the large donation from Holt Public Schools is critically important to its work,” mentioned Marni Swanson, director of the Holt Group Meals Financial institution.

“Our mission to serve those in the community who need a little help is made a little easier with the continued support of Holt Public Schools,” Swanson mentioned. “The annual food donation from Holt Public is a great example of the ways this community looks out for our friends and neighbors when they need help.”
