LANSING, Mich. (WLNS) — On Monday, Haslett and St. Johns punched their ticket to the CAAC Silver Cup title sport.
Haslett took down Williamston 2-1 in shootout vogue with sophomore goalkeeper Charlotte Collins main the cost. Alex Sharrow scored for Haslett within the twentieth minute, and Williamston freshman Mady Kuehne tied issues up within the 54th minute. Collins made huge stops all evening and got here in clutch, stopping two of Williamston’s shootout makes an attempt.
“She[Charlotte Collins] was nervous before the shootout,” Haslett coach David Littleton stated. “She doesn’t like shootouts whole lot, but she had a couple of the players on the sidelines, which gave her some confidence and stuff like that. I’m very pleased and surprised. She dove all around and saved those two that we needed.”
St. Johns shut out top-seeded Holt 2-0 behind a two-goal evening from Sydney Moon. Moon scored within the seventeenth and 89th minute. Redwings keeper Alliyah Williams had an awesome evening between the pipes as nicely.
Haslett and St. Johns will meet within the CAAC Silver Cup title sport on Wednesday, Might 14th.
