HILLSDALE, Mich. (WLNS) — Camp Hope, a homeless shelter within the metropolis of Hillsdale, is going through an unsure future and evictions after months of administrative and court docket battles to handle metropolis legislation violations.  

On Monday, Hillsdale Metropolis Council directed metropolis officers to declare the homeless shelter unsafe and start evictions. Assistant Metropolis Supervisor Sam Fry tells 6 Information the vote was 5-3 to maneuver ahead with the plan.

On Might 1, Camp Hope was nonetheless not in compliance and town issued Desjardin with a quotation for the violation.
