Hillsdale Hospital launches marketing campaign to advertise rural well being

LANSING, Mich. (WLNS) — Hillsdale Hospital has launched a brand new advocacy marketing campaign, Rural Well being Sturdy, to advertise rural well being and “encourage the nation to take action toward preserving it.”

Hillsdale Hospital leaders report that the marketing campaign was shaped in response to Medicaid cuts, in addition to different ongoing regulatory modifications and program cancellations.

The hospital says these cuts are leading to job losses and the closure of rural hospitals.

“We have to come together and lift our voices,” stated Hillsdale Hospital President and CEO Jeremiah J. Hodshire in a information launch despatched to six Information.

“We’re financially viable right now, and to sustain that over time, we must be Rural Health Strong. Now is a critical time for us to support and advocate for all rural hospitals—our brothers and sisters around the country.”

The hospital cites Medicaid eligibility modifications and administrative burdens as the primary areas of concern because of the funding cuts.

“We became spokespersons against the legislation because of the devastation we knew it would have on the Medicaid population, which is a vital source of reimbursement for rural hospitals,” Hodshire stated.
