I-96 taking pictures: Sufferer awake and speaking, police say

LANSING, Mich. (WLNS)– 6 Information has discovered that the lady who was shot within the head on I-96 is now awake and speaking.

Lansing Police informed 6 Information they discovered a 51-year-old girl inside a truck within the median of I-96 with a gunshot wound to her head on Aug. 28. She was rushed to the hospital and was in essential situation.

Police say the lady was driving westbound on I-96 between 2:30 a.m. and three a.m., when somebody in an unknown automobile shot at her truck.

Investigators are working to determine what occurred and trying to find the automobile concerned within the incident.
