OKEMOS, Mich. (WLNS) — A Michigan man is permitting excursions at his newly bought Frank Lloyd Wright residence. 

The Goetsch-Winckler residence was designed by Frank Lloyd Wright, an American architect and designer in 1940. 

Nate Meyer now owns the house in Okemos, Michigan, and is open to excursions.

DeAndra Beck, who has lived in Okemos since 2014, says she contacted the present proprietor via Fb. “I never thought we’d be able to tour it,” says Beck.

Meyer and his spouse bought the house in December of final yr. He says they stripped the house of the outside paint to revive the pure wooden. They repaired all the display screen doorways, and the lavatory to its authentic state. 

Meyer says his love of structure began on the age of 13 when his household visited Falling Water, one other historic landmark by Wright. 

He says when he purchased the house, it felt like a dream come true. 

“We would love to just bring back some rough edges to the property,” mentioned Meyer. “It’s been you know, over decades. It’s been increasingly suburbanized. We want it to feel a little bit more within nature, rather than separated from it.”
