In response to the Guardian, the Personal Eye editor was at the back of the black cab in Soho, central London, when a suspected bullet struck the car’s again window.
Each Hislop and the taxi driver had been unhurt within the incident and officers closed the roads across the scene, it added.
A supply advised the Guardian that police are protecting an open thoughts as to any motive.
In an announcement, the Metropolitan Police mentioned it was known as “to a report of a firearms discharge”.
“The driver of a London black taxi reported he was stationary in traffic when a shot was fired towards his vehicle, striking the window,” the pressure added.
“There were no injuries. An investigation has been launched.”
