LANSING, Mich. (WLNS) — An Ingham County Sheriff’s Workplace deputy has traveled north to Cheboygan County to help with the aftermath of a extreme ice storm that struck northern decrease Michigan final week.

The Ingham County Sheriff’s Workplace shared on Fb that Deputy Kyle Gask-Wilson will work with Cheboygan County Sheriff Todd Ross and Undersheriff Kelsey Kennedy to coordinate welfare checks on residents affected by the storm.
Gask-Wilson may also help the Cheboygan County Emergency Operations Middle as they work to revive energy to communities throughout the county. The workplace says that as of immediately, 47% of the county remains to be with out energy.
The workplace experiences that over 90% of the county was with out energy after the storm.
Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer deployed the Michigan Nationwide Guard (MING) to help with ice storm restoration efforts on April 1.
