An injured researcher who was trapped deep inside a collapse northern Italy for greater than three days has been carried to security.
Ottavia Piana, 32, reached the floor strapped to a stretcher early on Wednesday after 75 hours underground and on the finish of a rescue operation which began at midnight on Saturday.
