LANSING, Mich. (WLNS) — The Jackson County Workplace of the Sheriff is warning residents of a scammer claiming to be Deputy Abbey, demanding cash for pretend fines.
Police say the unknown suspect is demanding folks pay these pretend fines in present playing cards, bank cards, and money. Then the suspect asks for private data like social safety numbers, addresses, and date of delivery.
In a social media publish, deputies say no legislation enforcement officer will ever name and demand cash from a citizen after which threaten them with arrest.
