JACKSON, Mich. (WLNS) — Funds cuts are taking place to the Jackson County Sheriff’s Workplace—and officers are attempting to determine what precisely to sacrifice.

A proposal in Jackson County for a jail operations millage failed in November and consequently, the sheriff’s workplace has a $615,000 lower headed its means, even with different businesses lightening the load.

Undersheriff Christopher Simpson mentioned it was a millage he hoped to see cross and defined the place issues stand now.

“That leaves us with obviously some budgetary decisions to make pretty quick,” Simpson mentioned.
