JACKSON, Mich.(WLNS)— A mid-Michigan police division helped put some meals on many households’ tables simply in time for the vacation season.
The Jackson Police Division hosted its second annual ham giveaway on the County Fairgrounds Wednesday.
The division gave away 400 hams, that had been donated by Garcia Laboratory.
As individuals drove by way of, one ham was given to every automobile.
Elmer Hitt, Director of Police and Fireplace Providers, says they do that to assist the group, particularly throughout the holidays when many individuals are wired.

“It’s a good feeling. I mean, again, we look for these opportunities as law enforcement. We understand the importance of giving back in a different way,” said Hitt. “and helping out. Outside of just the normal job of being a law enforcement officer.”
In November, the Jackson Police labored with Walmart to provide out 500 free turkeys to households for Thanksgiving.
