Jose Mourinho hits again after being accused of racism – ‘they did not know my connections with Africa’

Jose Mourinho has dismissed claims he made racist feedback – saying his accusers “didn’t know my connections with Africa”.

The remark appeared to refer to go coach Okan Buruk, who Mourinho claimed was attempting to get a Fenerbahce defender despatched off early within the sport.

“They didn’t know my connections with Africa, with African people and African players and African charities.

“So as a substitute of going in opposition to me, I feel it boomeranged and went in opposition to them.”

He added: “Everybody is aware of who I’m as an individual. All people is aware of my unhealthy qualities, however that isn’t certainly one of my unhealthy qualities. Precisely the alternative!”

When requested if he regretted the language used, Mourinho mentioned: “Sometimes I do, and I ask myself, ‘Why did you do it Jose? Why did you drop to that level?'”

Mourinho beforehand introduced by his membership’s legal professionals that he was suing Galatasaray for round £41,000 after the membership accused him of creating “racist statements”.

Former Ivory Coast footballer Didier Drogba and Ghana star Michael Essien – each of whom Mourinho coached at Chelsea – posted on social media in help of the supervisor after the accusation was made.
