“Journey Within” Masterclass with Gurudev Sri Sri Ravi Shankar

World-Renowned Meditation Leader Returns to North Texas

Dallas, TX — This fall, the Art of Living Foundation in Dallas will present the masterclass “Journey Within,” a powerful public event led by global meditation leader and humanitarian Gurudev Sri Sri Ravi Shankar on Wednesday, October 8, 2025, from 7–9 pm at the Toyota Music Factory in Irving, TX.  Reserve your spot at https://aolf.me/gurudevindallas

After a completely sold-out U.S. tour in 2023 & 2024, Gurudev Sri Sri Ravi Shankar returns to lead a transformative evening of guided meditation, timeless wisdom, and breathing techniques based on his best-selling book Notes for the Journey Within. From New York to Los Angeles, as well as Dallas, the tour drew tens of thousands of attendees who meditated and created waves of peace. Meditation has emerged as an important tool for inner transformation in today’s fast-paced world. Internationally respected, the United Nations hosted a special meditation led by Gurudev to mark the first World Meditation Day in December 2024.

This empowering masterclass will help participants navigate life’s challenges with serenity and purpose. “Journey Within” is designed to connect attendees with their inner peace, resilience, and joy — qualities that ripple outward to build a more compassionate and harmonious world.  Even people who have never meditated will find themselves reaching a deep state of stillness.

“Our experiences in life are constantly changing — joy, sadness, anger, peace — but the one who experiences them, the ‘I,’ remains the same,” said Gurudev. “Meditation is simply stepping back to see beyond the thoughts and emotions, and resting in that unchanging self. In that stillness, you discover a deep peace and love within yourself, and naturally you want to share that with others.”

Organized by the Dallas chapter of the nonprofit Art of Living Foundation, the event will also include opportunities for interactive dialogue with Gurudev, making it a rare chance for North Texans to directly engage with one of the world’s most influential voices for meditation and world peace.

For over four decades, Gurudev has been at the forefront of teaching breath-based meditation and stress-relief techniques. His pioneering Sudarshan Kriya (SKY) Breath Meditation has benefited over 500 million people across 180+ countries — from students and corporate leaders to war veterans and refugees. In the last few years, SKY Breath Meditation has also been scientifically proven by researchers at Stanford, Yale, and others to effectively reduce anxiety and depression, and improve mental health, social connection, mindfulness, and positive emotion.

A peacemaker standing for the Gandhian principles of non-violence, Gurudev has also mediated negotiations in some of the world’s most difficult conflict-stricken areas, such as Sri Lanka, Iraq, Venezuela, and Colombia, where in 2015 he played a pivotal role in ending the violent 52-year conflict between FARC and the Colombian government. In his dedication to the service of others, Gurudev continues to be awarded and honored throughout the world. He continues to be a sought-after speaker and thought leader at the United Nations, the European Parliament, and other global platforms.
