LANSING, Mich. (WLNS) — A number of fireplace departments rushed to the scene of a hearth on the former Michner Plating Facility in Jackson on Tuesday night. As of Wednesday night, the Jackson Fireplace Division says a juvenile is in police custody.

The Jackson Fireplace Division experiences that they responded to the ability at 6 p.m. Tuesday night, with the primary crews who arrived witnessing flames and heavy smoke coming from the entrance of the constructing.

Crews had been preventing the hearth till shortly after 10:00 p.m. They are saying no accidents had been reported.

In line with the town of Jackson, fireplace crews monitored the air high quality all through the response because of the website’s industrial historical past and potential hazards.
