LANSING, Mich. (WLNS) — A head-on collision with a semi-truck crash in Monroe County killed a 19-year-old Jackson County lady and her child.
CBS Detroit experiences the crash occurred round 8:30 a.m. on S. Custer Rd. and Lewis Ave. in Raisinville Township.
Journee Padgett, 19, was touring in a 2015 Chevrolet Malibu along with her child within the backseat. Investigators say for some cause she crossed the centerline of visitors whereas touring eastbound on S. Custer Rd., hitting a semi-truck head-on.
Padgett was pronounced lifeless on the scene and the child was taken to an area hospital the place she died from accidents.
Police advised CBS Detroit that alcohol and pace weren’t elements within the crash.
That is an ongoing investigation.
