Lebanon’s caretaker prime minister has mentioned he hopes a ceasefire deal between armed group Hezbollah and the Israeli navy is near being agreed.
Najib Mikati made the feedback after talking to US envoy Amos Hochstein.
Based on Israeli broadcaster Kan, which printed particulars of Lebanon’s proposed ceasefire draft, the deal would see Israeli forces withdrawing from Lebanon inside seven days of the beginning of the truce.
