Library advocates urge state leaders to guard studying rights

LANSING, Mich. (WLNS)– Michigan Library Advocates are calling on state leaders to defend the precise to learn, as greater than 4,300 Michiganders have signed a petition to help this trigger.

In keeping with the Michigan Library Affiliation, supporters are urging Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer and the Michigan Legislature to guard the liberty to learn, help library staff, and safeguard essential statewide library packages like MeL and MeLCat.

Dillon Geshel, interim government director, Michigan Library Affiliation, might be joined by State Consultant Veronica Paiz (D-Harper Woods), Jenny Marr, government director, Capital Space District Libraries, and a Bloomfield Hills Excessive Faculty scholar.
