Lufthansa flight to Frankfurt leaves 11 injured after turbulence

Eleven individuals have been left injured after a Lufthansa flight was hit with extreme turbulence whereas en route from Argentina to Germany.

The Boeing 747-8 was travelling from Buenos Aires to Frankfurt when it encountered a short interval of extreme turbulence over the Atlantic on Monday.

5 passengers and 6 crew members suffered minor accidents because of the incident.

The injured acquired medical therapy instantly after the plane landed safely at Frankfurt Airport on Tuesday at 9.53am (GMT), in accordance with the airline.

Lufthansa mentioned the turbulence was “brief” and occurred in an “intertropical convergence zone”, which is a band of low strain across the Earth.
