State premier of Saxony-Anhalt, Reiner Haseloff, mentioned two folks had died and not less than 68 had been injured within the assault.

German Chancellor Olaf Scholz wrote on the X social media platform: “My thoughts are with the victims and their families.

“We stand by their facet and by the facet of the folks of Magdeburg. My thanks go to the devoted rescue staff in these anxious hours.”
