Man charged with manslaughter in demise of 20-year-old Fowlerville man

LANSING, Mich. (WLNS) — The Ingham County Prosecutor’s Workplace has charged David Gaines Jr., 24, of Lansing, with manslaughter within the January demise of Caleb Alan Shermoe, 20, of Fowlerville. Gaines was arraigned Thursday.

At round 1:30 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 18, the East Lansing Police Division was despatched out to an assault outdoors of a restaurant within the 300 block of E. Grand River Ave, close to the M.A.C. Ave. intersection.

Shermoe was taken to Sparrow Hospital through ambulance, the place he obtained medical therapy for his accidents, and died on the hospital a number of days later, on Jan. 23.
