Man dies after boat deflates crossing Channel, French authorities say

A person has died after a ship carrying migrants deflated within the English Channel, officers say.

French authorities mentioned the person, who was Indian and round 40 years outdated, was on a ship that departed from Tardinghen, northern France, at 5.30am on Sunday.

The boat rapidly deflated after departing, and people onboard swam again to the seashore, authorities mentioned.
