Man ordered to face trial in dying of 20-year-old Fowlerville man

LANSING, Mich. (WLNS) — A choose has ordered a Lansing man charged within the January dying of 20-year-old Caleb Alan Shermoe of Fowlerville to face trial at a Thursday preliminary listening to.

David Gaines Jr., 24, will now go to trial on a cost of involuntary manslaughter.

Police informed 6 Information in January that Shermoe was assaulted on the nook of E Grand River Ave. and M.A.C. Ave. in East Lansing at round 1:30 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 18. He was taken to the hospital and later died of his accidents on Jan. 23.

Gaines was charged with manslaughter on March 20. At a listening to Thursday, the courtroom noticed proof indicating that Gaines punched Shermoe within the face as soon as, knocking him unconscious. Shermoe then fell backwards and hit his head on the bottom, dying a number of days later from blunt-force trauma.
