LANSING, Mich. (WLNS) — A person died after being thrown from his seat in a two-car crash close to Durand, Michigan, in accordance with the Shiawassee County Sheriff’s Workplace.
Deputies responded Monday afternoon to the intersection of Byron Highway and Garrison Highway, a number of miles southeast of Owosso, the sheriff’s workplace stated.
Deputies stated a driver heading north on Byron Highway turned left onto Garrison Highway and struck a 56-year-old man driving south on Byron Highway. The 56-year-old was thrown from his automotive, taken to a hospital and pronounced lifeless. The northbound driver was not injured, in accordance with the sheriff’s workplace.
The 56-year-old is from Raisin Township, Michigan, south of Tecumseh. The sheriff’s workplace didn’t launch names. Investigators didn’t say whether or not seat belts have been used or whether or not pace was an element.
The investigation stays ongoing.
