In mild of ongoing challenges, together with a decline in affected person volumes, a scarcity of specialised suppliers, and an unsure well being care reimbursement panorama, we now have made the tough determination to indefinitely pause operations of our inpatient geropsychiatric unit in April. This determination was not made evenly, as we acknowledge the important function this service performs in our neighborhood.

Hospital management is rigorously assessing how we will higher meet the wants of our sufferers, with the purpose of reestablishing a service that’s extra aligned with the evolving wants of these we serve. We perceive that change may be tough, and we deeply remorse the impression this has on our devoted group members. We’re working intently with them to offer alternatives inside our group every time attainable. Above all, our precedence stays the well-being of our sufferers. The unit serves roughly eight sufferers at any given time. We’re dedicated to finishing the care of our present sufferers and making certain that these in want of geropsychiatric care have entry to sources in our neighborhood, and we’ll help in connecting them to the help they require.

We admire the understanding and help of our neighborhood as we navigate this transition, and we stay devoted to offering compassionate, high-quality look after all.
